For nine years, Principal Chad Thomas lead the resurgence of Roger C. Sullivan High School.
Prior to hm taking the helm at Sullivan in 2013, Sullivan was on CPS's short list for closure - as the school experienced serious disciplinary issues and academic decline.
With help from a team of skilled and dedicated staff, Thomas ushered in a revitalization of the school - among the highlights, its program benefitting the local refugee community.
I am proud to be part of the newly established Friends of Sullivan, which helped Thomas (and now Principal Jeff Cooks) with many initiatives to benefit students.
Now, Roger C, Sullivan High School and Rogers Park is a feature on an amazing and transformative TED TALK speech delivered by Principal Thomas, who is now in CPS administration, offering a voice for the school system’s principals.
