Ugly Ornament Contest @ Co-Office Connect
It’s Time to Tell the Truth about Ugly Ornaments!
Remember the time you walked into a friend or relative’s house at Christmas, and was taken aback by an outrageously ugly ornament dangling on the tree? Because you were sensitive to the feelings of others, you were unable to comment or express you distaste. For years you have carried around this corroded lump of unexpressed disgust. Well, now, you can not only voice your true feelings about ugly ornaments, you can actually join others in articulating the truth, which is what this holiday season is all about.
CoOffice Connect is holding a contest to find the ugliest holiday ornament and you are invited to submit an entry. From December 1 until the final judging on December 17, you may select from your stash of ornaments, or from another’s, an ornament so ugly it could win a prize. Yes, that’s right! We are giving prizes for the three ugliest ornaments brought into our office or sent to us on-line. Who among us is qualified to judge these insults to holiday décor? Barbara Moore (Green Corp, Glenwood Sunday Market, aldermanic advisor), Mary Bao,(Dukes Bar, Glenwood Arts Festival, and more), and Sandy Price, the manager of Rogers Park Business Alliance and a strictly objective observer of ugly things.
Even without an ugly ornament, please join us on Friday, December 17 from 4:30-7:00 at 1409 W. Morse Ave. as our distinguished judges select the best of the worst. We’ll have food, drink, and, depending on how much drink has been consumed, profound discussions about ugly. Additionally, Alderman Joe Moore who is followed on Fridays,—virtually (Twitter) and in real life (walking, talking, opening doors, etc.) will be with us to cheer on the winners. (Fabulous prizes will be awarded and merriment will be had by all.) Any entry of an ugly ornament will be returned, if you really want it back.
CoOffice Connect, an co-working enterprise, is open from 9:00AM – 5:00PM every weekday. Drop by or visit us at http://www.co-officeconnect.com. We love phone calls – 773-274-6069
