Tara Johnson - RP Photographer

Tara’s statement:
Intense color and texture, clean lines and found objects taken out of context—-these are some of the things that I love and often find their way into my photographs. I am a very visual person and have had a love for the arts since I was a little girl. In addition to taking photographs I also work as a freelance Print and Web Designer here in Rogers Park.

I am new to the neighborhood (I am a recent transplant from Bellingham, WA though I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago) and have been loving the area, the people and of course the beach! I live with my boyfriend Adam and my crazy little schnauzer, Tucker. When I’m not working or taking photos you can usually find me in the park with Tuck or riding my bike around town.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography from U of I (Champaign-Urbana) and an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design from WWC in Bellingham, WA.
