Seminars for Condominium Owners and Associations

Lakeside Community Development Corporation (Lakeside CDC), a HUD-certified housing counseling organization, is offering three informational seminars in the month of September. As the only agency working on behalf of Chicago to help condominium owners provide services nationwide, Lakeside CDC aims to educate condominium owners and associations on a variety of topics.

How to Avoid Delinquencies and Foreclosures
Date: Thursday, September 9, 2010
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Pottawattomie Park
          7340 N. Rogers Ave.
Topics that will be covered include the process for filing a collections action, how to work with outside counsel, and the purpose of a lien.

Understanding FHA guidelines for Condominium Associations Date: Tuesday, September 21, 2010
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: Wintrust Mortgage
          2329 W. Belmont Ave.
Topics that will be covered include the process, the new requirements and the impact of the FHA guidelines.
This event is free of charge.

Condominium Association and Board Training Basics
Date: Tuesday, September 28, 2010
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Emmanuel Congregation
          5959 N. Sheridan Rd.
This event will cover the basic rights and responsibilities of condominium owners and how to build a sense of community.
