Housing help on North Side

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT | Rogers Park-based group helps buyers and renters alike
Preserving and stimulating affordable housing and helping homeowners on the North Side fight housing recession problems are the calling cards of the Lakeside Community Development Corp.
The 4-year-old nonprofit housing and community development advocate based in Rogers Park believes that an ideal community is racially, economically and culturally diverse. In essence, the LCDC works to stabilize neighborhoods by helping homeowners keep their homes and by assisting low- and middle-income residents buy or rent condos. The LCDC also functions as an adviser to developers looking to create affordable housing.
