Transition Rogers Park
Transition Rogers Park Chicago held its first visioning session on June 20, 2009. The ideas generated through interactive, participatory exercises will seed working groups in the areas of community, food, reskilling, transportation and local commerce as "Rogers Parkers" work to build a community that is resilient to the challenges ahead, including climate change, peak oil and the economy. Lori Alderete and Phaedra Divras, Rogers Park residents since 2002 opened Gruppo di Amici in June 2006. Their vision was to have a place to simply "bring people together" and serve great Roman style Italian food along with a very specialized Wine & Beer List.
